Food Monster - Vegan Recipes App Reviews

I am a yearly subscriber to this app. I like the content and recipes there of. What irritates me is that the app never allows me to login from my other phone or iPad since I subscribed using one of my iPhones. These days we keep changing devices from work to home. Why not on both?

Love the recipes but hate the fact always says have notifications or new recipes even after spend a bunch of time going through to entire thing looking.

How greedy are these developers? Yeah lets give you all these recipes with ingredients but you have to pay for the prep instructions for 90% of the recipes? Nah. Ill stick to the completely free google.

I paid a yearly fee to get full access to app, but it really is poorly designed. The recipes look great, but I am totally disappointed in trying to navigate and use the app. Would have been great if it was similar to how the recipe book app operates which is very user friendly.

The only problem is the favorites and bookmarking feature is buggy. I click on the bookmark and they are never saved in the bookmark section! I cant save anything!

I paid for the premium subscription ($19.99) but it continues to tell me that I should subscribe. It wont let me see the recipes. I contacted the customer service and they gave me this explanation in June: We were able to find your Food Monster app subscription details and reset your password. Please use the sign in details below to access your account. Dont change or reset your password for a few weeks. I havent signed back in since July because the sign in process is ridiculous. Well I tried signing back in today and yet again...I have no subscription and am locked out of everything. The app definitely needs to be fixed and is not worth 19.99 in any way shape or form. I would really like my money back!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Ive been using the app for over a week now and its become my go to cooking guide. I also saved a bunch of money on cookbooks because this app has every recipe under the sun :) so glad to have it. For those who are having issues with opening the app. My iPhones memory was full and my iOS was not updated when I first got this app but now that its all fixed everything works nicely. Also log in and out if you need to reset your subscription status :) there are also 500 free recipes which I first tested on and then paid for the year subscription

Perfect for anyone thinking of trying out a vegan diet or not! Cooking adventures are a huge favourite of mine and this app is extremely helpful for finding tasty and healthy choices! Had been following on Instagram for a while and was thrilled when the app launched, while there are some troubles with the app itself it is beyond what I expected from such a small company... Keep up the good work, everyone!

Incredible. Very helpful app for anyone looking to , or continuing a healthy diet. Wide variety of recipes and no weird or impossible to find ingredients. I very highly recommend this app. It could change your life for the better. Cheers!

Ive loved the website for years. Followed them on Twitter and Instagram for as long as theyve been there... But the subscription model for their app is NOT what you would call terribly noble. For SURE, I would have been willing to purchase the app, but a monthly subscription, "hidden" in a free download for the same info that can be found in the website??? Thats curious, isnt it? Also, not mentioning that youll need to pay monthly, to get full access to the recipes is classic, shell-game, bait and switch, app-schilling nonsense. I should also mention, even if you are willing to pay the subscription, and why would you, the functionality of the app is less-than-ideal. Glitchy, slow, crashy... Seems like there may have been a push to have that earth-day release before the app was actually ready. Not worth it.

Love, love, love this app. Great variety of recipes for free. The photos are phenomenal. I can see that lot of work was put into creating this app and I thank you so much!!! Making the pineapple cups the second I get home!!

Do not download unless you want to pay a monthly subscription. I can get the same recipes for free online. I am deleting this app.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful vegan app! I have loved One Green Monster dive I discovered them. I love all the recipes from the past and look forward to searching all the new ones! Very excited about this app! No one had any excuse not to live compassionate and go vegan. I wish you much success. I am on your yearly subscription!

Otherwise its useless. I can search for and find exactly what I want, get the ingredients list but directions are a premium feature? I thought the click bait ads on the site were at least livable but honestly? I understand that R&D are expensive and you need to keep the lights on but either make it a paid app or at least a useable, ad supported app or something. Been waiting for this for months.

I love One Green Planet and their efforts to create a more ethical, compassionate world. They also encourage people to eat more sustainably with a plant-based diet. Amazing app and amazing organization.

Recipes look good but where are the directions? I also dont enjoy the food photos hopping around my screen like crazy. Please fix!!

Unless you want to buy content that you otherwise can access for free on the website, take a pass on the app. Disappointing.

The graphics constantly changing on recipe feed make me feel like Im going to have a stroke. Also, unless you pay for the app., you can only see the ingredients. Not that big of a deal to just find similar or even the same recipes with everything included via a Google search. Uninstalled.

I was so psyched for this app...but no recipe directions??? Really??? Maybe Im missing something, but I dont think so. May as well be a "photos of delicious food" app. I had considered the premium membership because Ive thoroughly enjoyed One Green Planet, but this seems a bit misleading...I think Ill stick with the website.
